Yancey was awoken by a knock on his door and someone saying, first call. He groaned as he laid his head back on his lumpy pillow. But once awake, he wouldn’t be able to fall back asleep, especially if his keepers were going to keep knocking on his door. He handled his morning ablutions then got dressed and armored up. He put his sword on and swung his shield over onto his back then did a recheck of not leaving anything in the room, like his coin pouch which he had stuffed under his bedding.

Now he was ready to go. He opened his door to find two kingdom soldiers guarding it. Yancey slowly shook his head and said. “Come on, let's get some chow while it’s hot and plentiful.” Yancey led them down to the inn’s tavern. There were two people sleeping by the hearth so Yancey moved away toward the far wall by the kitchen and ordered the morning special of hotcakes with maple syrup and long sausage links and milk to drink. His keepers just stood by the exits. Yancey again was just finishing up his meal when Captain Dansworth came down the stairs and joined him. He looked over what Yancey had but went with eggs and toast instead. Yancey waited for him to be almost done with his food before he asked. “So, what's the plan captain? Are we walking or riding from here this morning?” The captain replied as he swallowed his last bite of toast. “Hmm, riding of course, but when we checked you don’t have a horse here. Just how did you get here, Yancey?” Yancey smiled as he replied knowing that he wouldn’t be believed. “Oh, I arrived on the back of a gold dragon out in the woods then walked in on foot. Didn’t want to scare the townsfolk and all that you know?” The captain just raised his eyebrow at him and stared.

Yancey smirked and said. “I walked. But the other sounded cool didn’t it?” The captain swallowed and said. “You actually have a gold dragon mount?” It was Yancey's turn to raise the raised eyebrow and stare. Yancey replied. “If I did, I’d be long gone from here and off to my next dungeon to explore. So, I need to purchase a horse and saddle this morning. Which of my jailors is coming along?” Yancey said it with a smile and a smirk which made the captain grunt and pointed at the two by the door. Yancey nodded and after paying for his meal he headed toward the merchants guild hall to buy said horse and gear with a twenty percent discount. He was just checking the horse he bought when the captain and his guardsman arrived with a battered and grumpy fake lord Kertlands in tow upon a very disgruntled horse that kept trying to buck the man off. Unfortunately the man in question was securely tied to the horse's saddle and not going anywhere until said knots had been untied.
